These classes are NOT intended to teach you martial arts. They are, however, designed to teach you how to adapt and react to unarmed threats and/or weapons-bearing attacks.These classes will teach you what you NEED to know to survive.Course Structure: Whenever possible, our hand-to-hand courses are taught in various locations outside the classroom. We want to prepare you for real-life situations in real-life environments.Instructors’ Qualifications:
- Military service with real-world operations.
- Instructed Law Enforcement / SWAT.
- Specialized experience includes HRT (Hostage Rescue Training), small arms, demolitions, special operations, maritime operations, VBSS (Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure), and unarmed combatives.
- ASOT level II instructors, urban operations training instructors
- Unarmed combat instructors from the US Military CFC (Combat Fighting Course)
- Close Quarters Defense (CQD) military trained and certified.
- Executive Protection experience for diplomats, private sector executives, and professional athletes.

Introduction to Weapon Threats: 3 Hours
How do you get the assailants off of you and get to your weapon? You may well have to engage with your hands prior to deploying your weapon of choice.
This course is designed to teach the student, when confronted by an assailant with a weapon such as a knife, stick or hand weapon the techniques on how to adapt and react to that threat – how to break contact and get away. Course outline includes psychology, mindset, body language, and defense against the most common attacks including kicks, punches, grabs, and pressure points. We cover the offensive and defensive position including attacking and disarming techniques of a gun, knife, and stick.
Ammunition Required: N/A
Prerequisites: All students must be in good physical shape
Additional Equipment: food and drinks (to remain hydrated), elbow and/or knee pads or long pants (workout or BDU pants), along with clothing that will allow for work on the ground (no open-toe shoes or v-neck tops). |
